Keeping notes and documents together is essential for anyone attending a conference or meeting, which is why promotional folders make it onto our bestsellers list. We offer a variety of styles, from conference folders complete with writing pads and calculators, to brandable ring binders for distributing literature.

A Short History of Folders and Filing
The ring binder folder was invented in 1886 by German Friedrich Soennecken. Another German, Louis Leitz, developed the design, creating the lever arch file in 1911. Meanwhile, Swede Andreas Tengwall introduced a four ring binder in 1890. Despite having four rings it was called the 'Trio binder', named after Tengwall and his two business associates.
Shortly after the first folders were invented along came the first filing cabinet. It was invented in 1898 by Edwin G. Seibels while he was employed in his father's insurance firm. It quickly caught on and overtook the pigeonhole system of organisation, which was the standard of the day.

A Plethora of Choices
Today, we offer ring binders with two and four rings, box files and conference folders produced in a variety of styles and materials.
These materials include: PVC, PU, Bonded Leather, 100% Leather, and Polypropylene. All these materials can be printed and some can be embossed and/or foil blocked with a company logo.

Conference folders are slim PU or leather folders which contain a space for a note pad, pockets for brochures, business cards, pens and, sometimes include integrated calculators. They come in A4 and A5 formats, in a variety of colours, and can be produced with or without zips or internal ring binder mechanisms. Despite starting at just £3.82, these folders appear to be of higher value when embossed with a company logo. Embossing is the approach that we recommend and accounts for 80% of our orders.

Polypropylene folders include A4 ring binders, conferences boxes and expandable pocket files. They are very cost effective, starting at just 87p and can be printed with up to four colours. Ideal for distributing promotional materials, box files are our bestselling polypropylene product.
